My name is Fiore and my works are tributes to ideas, to individuals and to the importance of daydreaming. It is about allowing oneself to romanticize aspects of life and letting the mind wander. Through creating art, I aim to explore the connections between art and the concept of comfort, whether it be a painting that seems like a warm embrace or a drawing that tugs the heartstrings of its viewer. I am a drawing major, though I work in a large variety of different mediums alongside the use of graphite and coloured pencil, such as painting, printing, sculpting and pastel work. I place great importance on the concept of maintaining an open mind, that an open mind is one of the main factors that allow personal growth, and I create art in order to spread that message. Through the use of deep contrasts, naturalistic imagery, and exploration of a variety of colour palettes, I hope to establish a sense of narrative. Art, to me, has been both a way to connect to the world around me and an escape from situations where comfort was nowhere to be found. By creating, I aspire to provide individuals with that same connection that I found in art.
