Fostered by the rich, natural landscapes of her hometown, Sandspit, and the myriads of wild creatures that roam freely there, the artist has developed a lifelong love of animals and nature that inspires her works today. The artist aspires to share her passion for animals with the world and especially loves to bring joy with her work, conveying the same sense of comfort, meaning and love that animals bring to our lives every day, especially those that are close to us: art is a way to preserve a thousand memories and emotions, and what better memories to encapsulate than those with beloved pets? The artist captures and honours each pet’s unique personality and years of joyful memories with their family in detailed, expressive watercolour portraits that aim to bring a smile to your face every time you see them. Successfully capturing the pure, genuine emotions that animals express is a reward unto itself, and hopefully, seeing it can help human viewers discover similar feelings in themselves.
