The importance of the natural world is impossible to overstate, and yet with each passing day humanity threatens to destroy it. Through her work, Sierra aims to pay homage to the importance of the natural world by capturing its beauty so that it may be shared with others. The narratives of her work represent the importance of paying respect to nature, while interfering with its ongoings as little as possible. Her work captures nature as it is in the moment, capturing a moment that will never happen exactly the same way again. By doing so, she tells the viewer of the how fleeting nature is and the importance of preservation so that it may be enjoyed by future generations the same way that it is enjoyed today.
