Access (The Route Home)
ELI-FI-21
Regular price $1,200.00Created as apart of a series of works looking at the reality of living in a national park versus the image of it, this piece contemplates the impact of accessing natural spaces and my presence in the Bow Valley, which I am beyond fortunate to call home. The series looks at the division between how Banff is presented to the world, in contrast to how tourism, and the communities in the Bow Valley, impact the ecosystems that make this place so special. “Access (The Route Home)” incorporates human presence, in the form of the highway and the town of Banff, into a landscape that is often presented as pristine and wild. Acrylic on cradled birch panel, 48” x 30” x 1.5”
