CKUA
Regular price $200.00
This microphone is something I saw at the Studio Bell National Music Centre. The microphone is from the 1920s-1930s. CKUA was the first radio station in to offer educational and entertainment radio. CKUA was founded through the University of Alberta’s Extension Department on November 21, 1927. I was interested in the microphone itself and took a photo of it, it was encased in glass. I have a fascination with early technology and the progression we make through creating new items. Vintage items tell a story, the creations we make live long past our expiry date. This painting was created with acrylic paint and glaze medium.
glaze medium, molding paste, arclyic paint, canvas, 2021
