Kananaskis Art Print

The painting for this 8 x 10 inch print was inspired by a trip out to Kananaskis when the sun was beginning to set, transforming the landscape with its warm glow. Growing up in Alberta, I feel very at home in the natural landscape that can be found just outside of Calgary and often I turn to the landscape as a source of inspiration for painting. The flora and fauna of Kananaskis often takes my breath away with all of its vivid colours, and as painter, I am drawn to colour – I want to capture my experience of a place through colour and convey the magic that I felt there. Through painting I am able to create little portals to the places that left an impact on me. This print can be your own portal, adding the bright vivid colours of Alberta into any room you put it in for when you need some inspiration from the natural landscape. [The frame is not included]
