Quotidian beauty series - woodland

This collaged mixed media piece is part of a series created around remembering and documenting traces of beauty in the small and everyday around me. Each element is a little treasure, a whirligig, an oak leaf, a snippet of paper... This work is a process of remembering and holding on to fleeting everyday experiences, of collecting impressions of the mundane, and of memories that can be entangled with them. They are a reminder that the extraordinary is all around us.
