This piece embodies the excitement, and the nerves, that comes when we round the corner heading out to snow kite on Spray Lakes. A moment where I both want there to be wind, and where the scaredy-cat part of me hopes there won’t be any. Looking for clues on the peaks and in the trees as we reach the first lake, past the damn, the excitement always builds and the promise of weightless fun and speed on the snow-covered lake grows. Acrylic on cradled birch panel, 16" x 12" x 7/8".
