I think, feel, and experience the world differently from most people. I tried for most of my life to act normally so that I could fit in, but I was not good at it. I spent seventeen years working in technical sales and project management. When I realized that money and things do not mean anything to me, I quit my job and traveled for four years, searching for meaning and purpose. Then I decided to go to art school. I have been trying to deconstruct the facade of my life and remove all the layers of masks that I have been wearing, to understand who I am and what I want from my life.

My Abstract Glass series explores diverse ways of seeing and experiencing. I started by doing a small abstract painting. Then I photograph it through glass objects. I move the painting and glass object(s) around so that each image created is unique. This creative process highlights how a single image can appear in a near infinite number of ways depending on where we look and how our view is manipulated or distorted. This series is a metaphor for the world we live in. Something happens and we all see it differently depending on our perspective, our field of view, and the lens of our life experiences and ideologies. The images are printed directly onto aluminum, are frameless, and stand off the wall by one inch using a rear sub-frame.
