David Ohly

My near death experience is a foundational element of my creative expression. It changed the way that I approach my life and the world around me. My photography explores the areas beyond the extremes of human perception. My abstract glass series uses a high focal length macro lens so that I can photograph an abstract painting that I have created through a tiny part of a glass object. The colours and shapes warp and distort as they pass through the glass structures in a flash of light to create unique abstract images that invite contemplation.
