My ceramic art is a journey back to my roots; a way to honour my Mexican heritage while navigating life in Canada. Each piece is inspired by memories of my family and the cultural symbols that shaped my identity. Moving away at a young age, I turned to art as a way to stay connected to my culture, letting each form, colour, and texture evoke stories and traditions that feel both intimate and universal. Nature also plays a significant role in my work; I find beauty in organic shapes and earthy tones that mirror the landscapes and natural rhythms that unite all of us. Through my ceramics, I hope to offer a touch of warmth and authenticity, celebrating both the resilience of heritage and the timeless beauty of the natural world.
