KC Kaypo is a 2D visual artist studying as a drawing major at the Alberta University of the Arts. Her practice explores concepts of fauna, deterioration, identity, and relevance of one’s connection with their surroundings. Working primarily in drawing-based mediums, they incorporate sharp levels of detail through focused linework and selective colours. As an artist, Kaypo is driven to investigate the relationship between life and fine art, through both personal and collective experiences. In the end, each piece is created to serve as a reflection, as well as a reminder of how we can foster an impact within local and international spaces.
