Logan Parsley is a mixed media artist exploring and experimenting with the continuity of structure and form. They draw inspiration from natural life, dark fantasy, mythology, science fiction, speculative evolution, and listening into to the different ways non-existence speaks. With ink they develop alien worlds and ecosystems onto the page within illustrations that subject the viewer to new compositions of organic reality. Filling pages with various creatures and critters they perform a sort of rogue taxidermy with the pen; new explorations of virtuality, reworking the nature of being and time. Chimeras, cross species, cross kind mixtures, virtual configurations and reconfigurings, different kinds of beings being displaced through space and time. In an undoing of kind, being becoming, absence presence, here there, not then, so much for natural essence, trying out new appendages. Radical undoing of kind, Forever transfiguring and transforming. In measures of closeness they meditate on form and the fact the matter is born, lives, and dies.
