Sage creates art which celebrates the beauty and comedy in nature. Every part of the natural world has its own unique energy and personality whether it is an animal, plant, or other natural force. Sage aspires to show this through her art, often painting animals in fun perspectives that highlight their individual character. She is largely inspired by growing up around many different animals such as her dogs and chickens, farm animals in her neighborhood, and the wildlife that she would cross paths with. Nature is one of her biggest inspirations when creating art and she wishes to capture it in a way that reminds us of our connection to it. We are a part of the natural world just as much as every plant and animal. Each painting highlights nature’s clear and almost human-like personality, helping us relate to nature on equal ground. Sage wishes to inspire others to appreciate and notice nature on a deeper level by engaging with other animals, plants, and natural forces in a positive way. Her whimsical paintings bring out the joy and smiles that come from noticing the personalities of life.
