I am an illustrator and fibre artist who enjoys working in a variety of traditional mediums. I like experimenting with my materials and processes, but recently ink drawing, linocut printmaking, oil painting, and weaving have become my favourite methods of art making. Whether I end up with a tapestry, a short film, or a painting, I enjoy every stage of the design process and love watching a project grow from the ground up. Often, the work I make will fall within the horror/fantasy genre. This is because I like to take inspiration from the people, places, and nature around me and distort them into spooky or fantastical environments and characters. I have an appreciation for the eerie and the unknown and I want the mythical beasts and strange settings that appear throughout my work to reflect this. I enjoy using my art to create little worlds that are both fun as well as a bit unsettling.
