MN Designs
I am a Canadian artist studying at Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary, Alberta. My work consists of design, acrylic/watercolor paintings, pencil/charcoal drawings, and Copic coloring with various subject matter such as cartoons, landscapes, and portraits. I enjoy trying new mediums and learning how to incorporate new knowledge into my works.
My design work explores the different uses of colour to create eye-catching logos, posters, magazine spreads, and advertisements. I enjoy learning about typography and how it can be used for different elements to further develop the piece. Design allows for creativity, innovation, and expressing ideas to people while experimenting with various techniques.
My art is unique and imaginative with attention to details. Vibrant and explorative colours are seen as I have always been attracted to distinct and bright colours. I incorporate strong contrasts to grab viewer’s attention and use techniques, like abstraction and exaggeration, to provide viewers with a different view on the subject.
Inspiration comes from the world around me, whether it be from a natural setting or an urban setting, which provides me with endless creative concepts. My art incorporates passions and interests, such as spending time outdoors, into pieces that are eye-catching and stand out from their surroundings. I want my artwork to bring as much joy to others as it does to me in the process of creating it.
