As a 4th year design student, it feels odd to look back on not only my evolution as a show + Sale artist but also what my personal/school practice has developed into. All of the past year has been grappling with whether to focus on digital or traditional media. Being in design means standards are typically digital executions but I figured why not do my own thing. I like mixing media and pursuing traditional media where it makes the most sense to and vice versa for a digital development. I have been exploring the print and jewelry world for some time now and I am happy to say that I consider both practices to be part of my illustration practice, there is so much visual story telling you can derive from different materials. A lot of iconographies in my work are often based on positive relationships with objects and places. These pieces are little snippets of my life, so when you bring one of my pieces into your home, you are sharing that moment in time with me.
